November 3
How Long: 12:50-3:20
Where: Hill and Ginther Schools
Who: Myself, Chris Gold, Jake, Jake, Mrs. Roe and her class
This was an interesting day because Jake - high strung Jake - brought a friend along to the class, named Vince.
Jake #1 was having a bad day, so we only sang and played a little while, and then we listened to some classical music by Pachebel.
Jake #2 was having a decent day, and we sang and played. We're working on getting this Jake to resolve his control issues. His mother goes away a lot, so he gets very stressed out. He's very sensitive to sound, and seems to get more so and uncomfortable when control of the volume and type of sound is taken away. So we're working on "volume control" being passed around the group.
Aiden was sick and was actually crying when we got to the Ginther school, but by the end he was smiling and reacting a little bit to the group music therapy. The rest of the kids have fun when we all sing together and pass the instruments as well. I had work right after, so I had to leave without helping Chris pack up, which I felt bad about.
